Phonics
We are using the Alphablocks series to help with our phonics. It is very important to practise our letter sounds.
We are also learning to say and spell the days of the week.
English
We have been working on our greetings with the help of Spongebob and Micky Mouse.

Our Class Rules
Here are the classroom rules we made together. We will all give a hand to make our classroom a safe and happy place to learn!!
Spelling List 2
We are now on Spelling List 2.
It is very important that everyone practises their spellings every day.
They should write them out three times in their homework booklet and also it would be very helpful for the children to practise the spellings orally; the parent calling out the spelling and the child spelling it out loud without looking at the book. This will take time but will really help.
We have a spelling test every Friday. The children will bring home their spelling books to show their parents. PLEASE make sure they are brought back into school the next day.

Book Fair at Varee Chiangmai School
There will be a book fair at Varee Chiangmai School on Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th May 2014.
The will be a great selection of English books for children of all ages from Kindergarten up to Secondary School students. Hope to see you there !
The New School Year !
The new school year at Varee Chiangmai School is now well underway. The students have all settled in quickly and are already busy learning.
This month’s Homework Booklets are being issued this afternoon so the students will begin doing homework, reading and preparing for spelling tests this week.
